Project & Network Manager

Reporting directly to the General Secretary, the ETC Project & Network Manager shall be responsible for the various elements of the job description listed below. The duties outlined are not exhaustive and the successful candidate will be expected to undertake additional duties as reasonably directed by the General Secretary and the Board of Administrators.

PROFILE

  • A university degree or equivalent in theatre studies, arts and cultural management;
  • At least 5 years’ experience in project & management in an European cultural environment, preferably within the performing arts; dramaturgical experience is a plus
  • Sound knowledge and successful experience with EU funding and national/EU grant management
  • Fluent command of written and spoken English and German with a good writing style,  French would be a plus, additional European languages are an asset;
  • A strong interest and knowledge in theatre and the culture sector and related issues;
  • An understanding of the European institutions;
  • Experience working in European affairs and/or with member associations;
  • An analytical and strategic approach with a pro-active attitude;
  • A positive and adaptable approach to problem solving;
  • The ability to establish productive relationships with people at all levels;
  • Good IT (Office Pack) and social media skills;

JOB TASKS

  • Project management of current and new ETC projects incl. ETC’s international professional development programme ( annual international conferences, training, residency and academy programmes in line with ETC’s work plan ENGAGE and others) with responsibilities in project design, organization, implementation and finances and coordination & liaising with all project partners
  • Responsible to produce reporting of the above listed events, incl. all statutory and project activities for stakeholders
  • ETC Membership management
  • Responsible for funding and sponsoring activities (from application to reporting, from concept development to financial management), in particular EU grant applications and contracts related to ETC’s work plan
  • Coordination of the daily work of the network secretariat
  • Responsible for financial administration and liaison with accountants, bank and other suppliers in relation to the above mentioned activities

The position is granted on a limited term until December 31, 2018, with possibility of continuation. Start: January 8, 2018
