»Fast Forward« is a festival for young stage directors from all over Europe and for up-and-coming artists, as well as a departure to new horizons. It is a small festival marathon, allowing to dip into the possible future of European theatre; four days of getting-together, discussions and parties! Curator Barbara Engelhardt presents eight stage directors from six countries, each with a different social and cultural background, who show their motivations on stage. It is the festival’s expressed aim that these young artists not only meet with an audience, but also with theatre experts. For this reason, the ETC steering committee on aestethic education will convene on November 17 & 18 in Braunschweig. Furthermore, an expert jury is going to award one of the participants with the price of staging a production at the Staatstheater Braunschweig.
