Structured dialogue with the civil society
ETC is a member of the established platforms initiated by the European Commission in 2008:
1. ACCESS TO CULTURE
2. POTENTIAL OF CULTURAL AND CREATIVE INDUSTRIES
In October 2009 a new platform will be initiated where the ETC will also play an active role:
3. PROMOTING MULTILINGUALISM
The ETC is a member of the Multilingualism platform consortium. The project of the two-year workplan of the platform 'poliglotti4.eu' can be downloaded here (accessible for ETC members only).
These platforms have been established to create a structured dialogue between the European civil society in the cultural sector and the Commission.
The ambition for the ETC is to provide the commission with pragmatic propositions that correspond to the theatrical reality in Europe today.
In July 2009 the first two platforms have endorsed a policy guideline with recommendations from the cultural sector, which you can download on this page.
Information about the ETC participation is updated in our blog where members have the possibility to comment and give their ideas and impressions.
