Potential of Cultural & Creative Industries

The European Theatre Convention joined the platform in April 2008. 

From June to September 2009, the European Theatre Convention participated in groundbreaking consultation process to EU member states and the European Commission, among 41 Cultural and Creative Industries Platforms. A list of recommendations has been yielded, which seeks to unleash the potential of these industries into the future. 

Discussions began in June 2008 after the Commission asked the organisations to come together as part of their ongoing dialogue with the cultural sector of the EU, in order to produce a road map for the industries designed to be adopted at European, national, regional and local levels. 

The recommendations will feed into the Green Paper on the Cultural Industries currently being prepared by the Commission and they will also target national and local decision makers. Click here to have access to the Green Paper "Unlocking the potential of Cultural and Creative Industries".
