How to become a member
There are two different types of memberships in the ETC:
A Full member should be a theatre institution; national theatres or theatres subsidized by national authorities. A full member can be voted ETC president or take part in the ETC board of administration. A full member takes part in the General Assemblies organised twice a year. A full member has the right to vote in the General Assembly. A full member can benefit from financial and logistic support for projects developed in the ETC frame.
An Associate member is a theatrical structure, but not necessarily a theatre. Associate members can be festivals, companies, theatre editors and so on. The importance is that there is an evident interest of collaboration between all ETC members. An associate member cannot be voted ETC president and cannot take part in the ETC board of administration. An associated member takes part in the General Assemblies organised twice per year. An associated member does not have the right to vote in the General Assembly. An associate member can benefit from financial and logistic support for projects developed in the ETC frame. Joining the ETC is most often a result of a proposal by another member who stands as a godfather for the applying structure. A new member is always voted in during a General Assembly. The General Assemblies take place twice a year, in the spring and in the autumn, always in a different city/country. The new members are voted in by the full members after a presentation of their structure and their interest to join.
The price of ETC membership is :
