Professional Development

FOR THEATRE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGERS

Seminar (21 & 22 June 2018 Berlin)

ETC’s programme “ENGAGE: Empowering today’s audience through challenging theatre” introduces a new on- & offline vocational education programme for theatre makers, aimed at theatre Communications Officers during the 2017/2018 season.

After a first session in Tbilissi (27 & 28 October 2017), we are organising a new seminar on 21 & 22 June 2018. This seminar is a chance to develop professional skills, to promote peer-to-peer learning and to foster international networking between Communications Officers. Moreover, this seminar will be the place where Communication Officers can meet, collaborate and connect at an international level.

During this 1,5 days, we will explore the themes of Theatre Communication and Audience Development. Two main topics have been selected for this session:

- Collecting and using data from your theatre's audience to create targeted marketing campaigns

- How and where to advertise to find new audiences?

In addition, we will take time during the seminar to review the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and its consequences for theatres and Communications Officers.

Contact and registration

Participation in the programme is open for ETC Members, who receive a travel grant for the seminars based on a first come, first served basis.

To participate and register, simply send an email by 30 April 2018 to ETC’s Communication Manager Joséphine Dusol: communication@etc-cte.org.
